Dear Residents of District 53
Home, family, and education are three of the most important things to me. I grew up in a family that stressed the importance of all three as they relate to being a successful and productive citizens of this great country.
My father moved our family to 227 North Street in Cheraw, SC twenty-six years ago. It is here in Chesterfield that he started and has run his office for the past two decades. It was here in Chesterfield that he raised my brother, Brian Li, and me to be responsible, contributing members of our community. It was in Chesterfield County Public Schools where teachers like Ms. Ingram and Ms. Sweeney taught me to love learning, and challenged me to aspire to new heights. My experiences at the South Carolina Governor’s School in neighboring Hartsville, at Clemson University, and the University of South Carolina Law School taught me how much I truly love our great state, and why I will always call South Carolina home.
I am running for House District 53 because I believe in the core values we all share in Chesterfield and Lancaster counties. These are values that are founded on a strong sense of faith, supporting our public schools, and taking care of each other. I believe in putting priorities over promises, and that the people of District 53 should always come before partisan ideology. I believe state government priorities should center on infrastructure, education, healthcare, and criminal justice reform.
I see myself as a son of the Pee Dee, and I will dedicate my life to making sure we conquer our challenges. I am running because I want to give back to our community, and I want to help inspire the next generation to achieve great things, so that they can give back also. I will be a champion for District 53 and fight for the tools needed to help all residents succeed.
I ask that you pray for me and my family, and join me in working to make District 53 the best that it can be. With your help, I am confident we can achieve this.
